What we should expect from Shri Oommen Chandy
Most of us are happy about the fact that our church member Shri Oommen
Chandy has become the Chief Minister of Kerala. The questions that looms in
our mind might be:
What will be our benefits as Church or individuals?
What are we expecting from him? Do we expect government to support our
church cases?
Do we expect him to approve confirmation for education institutions and
hospitals?
Or may be we can call him for our routine church functions’ like church
koodasha, aspiring for additional media attention!
While addressing the elected members of panchayat and municipalities, a
reception was conducted by our Church in January 2011 at Mammen Mapilla
Hall, Kottayam. Our Bava Thirumeni remarked that the elected representatives
of the people should be considered as God’s delegation to serve others. Our
expectation from the CM should be based upon Bawa Thirumeni’s exhortion.
An orthodox believer becomes a ruler in the government. Church will be
benefited if he practices what church taught him in his life.
Let us all support and pray for Mr. Oommen Chandy so that he shines as one
of the best chief minister in India. He should able to serve and care the
people of Kerala without any deviation from the principles of Orthodox
Christianity. Then we can proudly say that “He is the Most Favourite Son of
Orthodox Church”
With Love and Prayers
